During this two-day interdisciplinary workshop participants and presenters will be working together to define collective approaches for measuring soil organic carbon, greenhouse gas emissions and co-benefits of beneficial management practices for agricultural production systems in BC.
Research methods for a range of objectives related to agricultural climate solutions will be discussed in depth with the goals of defining common approaches, better integrating data collection efforts and advancing data sharing.
Participants can attend in-person in Abbotsford, BC or join virtually.
There is no registration fee and in-person attendance includes lunch and refreshments.
Participation is by invite-only.
Workshop Goals
- Increase understanding of research outcomes and data needs across disciplines.
- Support the development and adoption of standardized protocols for measuring and monitoring adaptation and mitigation outcomes.
- Identify opportunities, barriers and next steps for sharing research data.
- Produce workshop proceedings that lay out best practices and methods recommendations.
